Summer Tennis Camp in Sarasota: A Day at Pineview
Summer Tennis Camp in Sarasota: A Day at Pineview
Summer tennis camp in Sarasota with Michael Boothman moves to Pineview School starting Monday, June 22. If you have been thinking about getting your player on court this summer, here is exactly what a camp day looks like, what is included, and how to sign up. SRQ Tennis runs the camp, and it is all tennis from drop off to pickup.
What a full day actually looks like
Camp runs Monday through Friday. Full day is 9 in the morning to 2 in the afternoon. Half day is 9 to noon. The day is built around two real blocks of tennis, not one short hit and a lot of standing around.
Mornings open with movement and warm up, then a tennis block from about 9:30 to 11:30. That is where most of the skill work happens: stroke development, target work, and live rallies. We follow Live Ball Is the Method, one of our Six Pillars at SRQ Tennis. Kids came to play, so we get them rallying and competing instead of waiting in long feed lines.
Full day campers break for a catered lunch brought in and served on site. After lunch, the second block runs to about 1:45 and leans into match play, King of the Court, and team games. We close with a short cool down and pickup at 2. Half day players are picked up at noon after the morning block.
Who it is for and how groups work
Camp is open to ages 6 to 16, and beginners are welcome. We keep groups small and sort players by age and level so everyone gets a fair challenge. A first timer is not stuck in a group of tournament players, and an experienced player is not stuck waiting on the basics.
Every camper gets targets and real numbers from day one. That ties to one of our other pillars, Confidence Is Built, Not Given. We do not hand out empty praise. We show a kid that last week they hit 6 out of 10 to a target and today they hit 8 out of 10. That is a fact they can stand on, and facts are what make a young player swing with conviction. You can read the full philosophy in the Six Pillars of SRQ Tennis.
If your player needs an earlier drop off or a later pickup, before care and after care are available as add ons. Standard camp hours stay 9 to 2 for full day and 9 to noon for half day.
What to bring, and the cost
Send your camper with tennis shoes, athletic clothes, sunscreen, a hat, and a water bottle. We recommend a racquet, but we keep loaner racquets on hand at no extra cost, so a player without one is never left out. For full day campers, lunch is handled, so there is nothing to pack. Drop off and pickup are at the Pineview courts, and the team checks weather conditions before camp each morning.
Here is the straight pricing, no upsell. Full day is $425 per week and includes coaching and the catered lunch. Half day is $325 per week. The Full Summer Pass for all remaining weeks of full day camp is $3,400. Bring a sibling and the second child gets 10 percent off the same week with code SIBLING2026. Single day drop in is $100 full day or $75 half day, based on space.
